lyrics
There is a sadness, all around us, it flows
Like a chorus of ruin, the melody of suffering
Swirling in desperation, panic and fear
The defeated, the forlorn,
the last gasps,
Of a dying world…
There is no escape, there is no retreat
Save silence, save peace
The journey within is a pale departure
From the world of the living
We are all dying,
We are all doomed…
All our Sorrows, cast down
(Disavowed and denied)
The Serpent and the Seer
(We live down, to this corruption)
Old, lost souls weary of riot
(We know pain, in all that we see)
Let Death, Let Death heal us all
(Release us, from the pain)
This oppression, the hopeless seas
(Of depression, aggression, redemption)
Left to suffer, forever, forever and ever
No hope to give,
No light to shine on the darkness
Of this world, or the dying light
That flickers and wanes
To the grief within you
No hope to give, no light to shine
(Absolve me, the lives we condemn)
We are all lost, adrift forever
(Lost forever to the void)
The end of our days, the failed life
(The slow farewell, the slow decline)
The end of hope, the last divide
(This despair, this mortal coil)
This repression, murders the soul
We suffer, to suffer, forever and ever

OPIUM DOOM CULT (USA) is a doom band featuring members of BENEATH OBLIVION and THORNS OF THE CARRION. Two albums to date, "Tremors to Signal the End" and "Seer, Serpent, Sorrow"
The reason is summarized in the reason why I love extreme doom: it's a matter of focus, intentions that never get diverted from one nature: the appeal for doom, and all emotions, visions, states of being the term implies.. It's a one-colour core that makes the whole. The limits of Arche's music embraces all doom is about; how can I not be very pleased with that? Bertrand Marchal
one of the best death doom bands so far. great melodies with great atmospheres. mostly slow, heavy and doomy but sometimes there are these groovy double-bass drum moments wich are pretty fucking cool. if you like death doom and melodic atmospheric black metal, this is for you. Sælzer Bub
